Dr. Emmanuel Ahmadu
Dr. Emmanuel Oluwasayomi Ahmadu is a globally recognized mental health advocate, consultant, and educator with over a decade of proven expertise in mental health intervention, education, youth empowerment, and human services. His journey, marked by resilience and passion, has centered on creating impactful solutions that foster sustainable change for children, adolescents, and young adults.
His career highlights include leading mental health initiatives that have positively impacted over 500,000 students globally and developing peer-led mental health models that address critical issues such as depression, suicide, bullying, and social misconduct. He holds three honorary doctorates: an Honorary Doctorate in International Affairs (2024) from Global Seminary University, USA, a Professional Doctorate Fellowship (2024) from the Across Global Institute of Foreign Languages (AGIFL), and a PDF as a Certified Management Specialist with Distinction (London Graduate School) and Youth Mental Health First Aider (USA).
His pioneering research at Case Western Reserve University has advanced innovative approaches to adolescent mental health, including projects like “Fostering Mental Health Awareness and Preventing Social Misconduct in Adolescents and Youths.” His work has earned prestigious global recognitions, including the Global Mental Health Advocate Award (2024) and recognition for the Ohio State Advocate of the Year (2023) and the David Cottrell Educator Award (2024) from ACAMH, UK.
He currently serves as an Youth Advisory Board Member for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (Ohio Chapter), where he helps shape initiatives to combat youth mental health challenges and reduce stigma statewide. He leverages his expertise as a global mental health advocate to shape equitable policies and drive sustainable interventions across education, human services, and mental health.
